What You’ll Learn:
Understanding the International Technical Rules System – Grasp the core principles that reward skillful fencing over chaotic exchanges.
Tactical Decision-Making – Learn how to identify and prevent common pitfalls like double hits before penalties occur.
Judging Fundamentals – Study scoring benchmarks, penalties, and the structure behind fair and efficient tournament operations.
Level I Certification – Participants will work towards level I certification through the weekend.

Duration: 90 minutes
All class attendees must also purchase a Fencing Student/Competitor Pass.
Level I and higher certified judges will receive a rebate of $50 towards their general admission ticket after having overseen 30 rounds. They will also receive a small stipen of $1 for each additional round judged. Judges still in progress for receiving their certification not be eligible to receive a rebate on their admission; however, they will receive a stipend of $0.50 for each round judged.
